What is Speech Therapy?

 

Pediatric speech therapy treats communication challenges, both Receptiove and expresive, that cause children to become frustrated and have difficulty with verbal communication. Speech therapy also treats oral motor challenges, such as chewing and swallowing, as well as articulation, auditory processing and social skills.

Speech therapy is the intervention service that focuses on improving a child's ability to comunicate through verbal and non verbal skills such as speech and signs.
