Why Therapists Choose AMP

Why PTs & PTAs choose AMP

AMP was built differently. We designed a workplace that supports the therapist you are — and the life you want to build.

  1. 01

    Flexible Scheduling

Build a week that works for your life — not the other way around. Purposeful caseloads, reasonable hours, and a schedule you help shape.

  2. 02

    Local Caseloads

Work close to home in Central Florida communities. Less time driving, more time doing the work that matters.

  3. 03

    Real Mentorship

Whether you're a new graduate or an experienced clinician, you'll have access to clinical guidance and a team that invests in your growth.

  4. 04

    Documentation Support

Systems, training, and guidance that make documentation manageable — so you can focus on your patients, not paperwork.

  5. 05

    Career Growth

Clear pathways for both PTs and PTAs — from staff clinician to senior, mentor, and leadership roles.

  6. 06

    Work-Life Balance

A workplace designed around the therapist you are and the life you want. AMP was built to support both.

Making the Switch

Clinic PT vs. home-based PT

Many AMP PTs came from clinic settings. Flip the switch to see what changes when therapy happens where children actually live.

Caseload
High volume, back-to-back sessions, productivity quotas
Purposeful caseload, sustainable schedule, quality over quantity
Setting
Clinic room, same four walls every day
Homes, daycares and community settings — the real-world environments where kids move
Family involvement
Limited — parents often wait in the lobby
Deep — caregivers are active partners in every session
Mentorship
Varies widely, often minimal after onboarding
Structured mentorship, accessible leadership, ongoing clinical support
Scheduling
Clinic-controlled, rigid blocks
Input into your schedule, with families grouped close together
Career growth
Often flat
A defined path for PTs and PTAs: staff, senior, mentor, leadership

Hear It From the Team

Real therapists. Real voices.

“When I can get them to stop crying and smiling, that's gold.”

And from the families

When we started, my daughter couldn’t walk and had developmental delays — now she’s walking on her own! Alex is incredibly patient, skilled, and encouraging.
Bowen S.Physical Therapy
He learned to walk, jump, keep balance and do so many things with her. AMP has been a blessing to our family since the first day.
Evelyn H.Physical Therapy
Our concerns that were shrugged off by multiple pediatricians were not only heard but actually evaluated. Each session is thoughtfully planned — fun and effective.

Your Future at AMP

Two paths. Equally valued.

Honest Expectations

What to know before you apply

No surprises. Here's what this role at AMP is really like:

Home-Based, Not a Clinic

You will work in families' homes, daycares, and community settings. Sessions happen in the real-world environments where children develop and move.

PTAs Are Valued Here

Supervising PTs are accessible and invested in PTA growth — this is not a hands-off supervision model.

New Graduates Welcome

You'll receive a mentorship pairing, clinical supervision, and a caseload sized for confidence-building.

Travel Is Part of the Role

Caseloads are built locally whenever possible, but community-based care means driving between visits. A reliable vehicle and valid Florida driver's license are required.

Families Are Part of the Work

Caregivers are active participants in sessions. If you like teaching families how to support their child's movement, this model will feel natural.

Documentation Matters

Electronic documentation with templates and training. Timely notes are a real part of the job — and we support you in it.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and discussed openly during your first conversation with our team. We don't believe in making you guess.

You don't have to figure it out alone. Here's how AMP brings you in — gradually, supported, and at a pace that builds confidence.

  1. Within 48 Hours

    We Reach Out

After you apply, a member of our team contacts you to schedule an introductory conversation — usually within two business days.

  2. Days 2–5

You'll meet clinical leadership, learn how AMP's systems work, and get your questions answered — honestly and completely.

  4. Week 2

    Your First Sessions

Begin seeing clients with mentor support available. Your caseload builds gradually — quality over quantity from day one.

  5. Day 30
