Why Therapists Choose AMP

Why SLPs & SLPAs choose AMP

AMP was founded on the belief that when therapists are supported, children thrive. Every system, every policy, every decision reflects that belief.

  1. 01

    Purposeful Caseloads

Work with children who need your expertise most — sized so you can do real communication work, not just hit numbers.

  2. 02

    Flexible Scheduling

Full-time, part-time, or flexible caseloads — you choose the structure that lets you do your best work.

  3. 03

    Clinical Mentorship

New grads and experienced SLPs alike benefit from AMP's mentorship. You'll never navigate a complex case alone.

  4. 04

    Operational Support

Scheduling, authorizations, documentation templates, and family coordination are supported — so you can focus on therapy.

  5. 05

    Collaborative Team

Work alongside SLPs, SLPAs, OTs, PTs and early interventionists who share strategies and support each other.

  6. 06

    Growth Opportunities

Clear pathways from staff SLP to senior, mentor, and leadership roles — and room to grow special interests like AAC.

Why AMP for SLPs

Not a school. Not a hospital.

SLPs have options. Here is why many choose home and community-based therapy at AMP.

Not a school caseload

No stack of IEPs and group pull-outs. A sustainable caseload, and one child and one family at a time.

Not a productivity quota

AMP is not a high-volume clinic. Sessions have room for real communication work and family coaching.

Real-life language

Therapy happens at the kitchen table, at daycare, at the park — where words actually get used.

Bilingual welcome

Many AMP families speak Spanish at home. Bilingual (English/Spanish) clinicians are especially needed.

SLPA supervision that shows up

SLPAs work under the structured supervision of an SLP who is present, accessible, and invested in their growth.

New graduates welcome

New-graduate SLPs and SLPAs receive structured mentorship, clinical supervision, and peer support from day one.

Hear It From the Team

Real therapists. Real voices.

“It allows me to be the type of professional I want to be and the type of mom I want to be.”

And from the families

After 4 months of working with Ms. Heather she is saying so many words I stopped counting. My daughter loves her and gets excited when she’s at the door.
Rose W.Speech Therapy
We’ve seen such an improvement in our son’s speech … He looks forward to his “play time” and I look forward to seeing his development.
L. B.Speech Therapy
Our son is speaking so much better and it’s hard to imagine that we were once so worried about this. She helped give us the confidence we needed as parents.
Harrison B.Speech Therapy
We are so happy with how far he has come … I like the flexibility that the therapists can come to your home or school.

Honest Expectations

What to know before you apply

No surprises. Here's what this role at AMP is really like:

A Diverse Caseload

Articulation, language delays, fluency, social communication and AAC are all part of the work. You won't be siloed into one area.

SLPAs Receive Real Supervision

Supervision follows Florida requirements, with clear protocols and an accessible supervising SLP.

Community-Based, Not a Clinic

Sessions happen in homes, schools, daycares and community settings. AMP's office is administrative only.

You'll Drive Between Visits

Caseloads are built locally whenever possible. A reliable vehicle and valid Florida driver's license are required.

Family Coaching Is Central

Caregivers are part of every plan. If you like teaching families strategies they can use every day, this model fits.

Documentation Matters

Timely, accurate notes are part of the job. We train and support you, with templates built for this work.

Compensation

Compensation is competitive and discussed openly during your first conversation with our team. We don't believe in making you guess.

Getting Started

Your first 90 days

You don't have to figure it out alone. Here's how AMP brings you in — gradually, supported, and at a pace that builds confidence.

  1. Within 48 Hours

    We Reach Out

After you apply, a member of our team contacts you to schedule an introductory conversation — usually within two business days.

  2. Days 2–5

    Meet the Team

You'll meet clinical leadership, learn how AMP's systems work, and get your questions answered — honestly and completely.

  3. Week 1

    Shadow & Learn

Shadow experienced therapists in the field. See the documentation system, the scheduling flow, and the caseload structure up close.

  4. Week 2

    Your First Sessions

Begin seeing clients with mentor support available. Your caseload builds gradually — quality over quantity from day one.

  5. Day 30

    Finding Your Rhythm

Your schedule is established, your families know you, and you're documenting with confidence. Check-ins with your mentor continue.

  6. Day 90

    Fully in Your Groove
