Pediatric physical therapist jobs in Florida

Work as a 1099 pediatric PT in homes, schools and daycares across Central Florida and Miami. You choose your caseload size. We fill it, because about 300 children are waiting.

The work

  • Evaluate and treat children with gross motor delays, gait and toe walking, balance and coordination, torticollis, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome and other conditions that affect movement.
  • See children where they live and learn: their homes, daycares, schools and community settings. Therapy never happens at our office, which is administrative only.
  • Coach parents and caregivers, who take an active part in every session.

How the 1099 setup works

  • You join AMP as an independent contractor (1099), not as a W-2 employee.
  • You are paid for each visit you complete. We discuss compensation openly in your first conversation.
  • No taxes are withheld from your pay. You handle your own taxes, and you receive a 1099 form at the end of the year.
  • You set your availability and the size of your caseload.

Your schedule and your caseload

You decide how much you work. Tell us your availability and how many children you want to see, and we build your caseload around it, with families grouped close together so you spend less time driving. A full week, part-time, or a few afternoons alongside another job: that is your call. About 300 children are waiting across our service areas, so the caseload you ask for fills right away.

Mentorship and clinical support

New graduates get a mentorship pairing and clinical supervision. Experienced PTs get clinical guidance whenever a case calls for it. Documentation is electronic, with templates and training, and our team helps with scheduling and authorizations.

What you need

  • Doctorate or Master's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid Florida PT license (or eligibility to obtain)
  • NPTE passed (or eligibility to sit for the exam)
  • Valid Florida driver's license and reliable transportation

Nice to have

  • Experience in pediatric physical therapy (new graduates welcome)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, Haitian Creole or Portuguese is a plus

Where you will work

Therapy happens in children’s homes, schools and daycares in the areas we serve: Orlando, Brevard, Lake Nona, Osceola, Polk, Hillsborough, Pasco, Miami, Seminole and Lake. Our office in Orlando is administrative only.

Questions therapists ask us

Do you hire new graduate PTs?

Yes. New graduates get a mentorship pairing, clinical supervision and a caseload sized for building confidence.

Is this a 1099 or a W-2 position?

It is a 1099 independent contractor position. You are paid per visit, no taxes are withheld, and you manage your own taxes. Our 1099 guide compares it honestly with W-2 work.

Can I choose how many children I see?

Yes. You tell us your availability and the caseload size you want, from a full week to a few afternoons, and we match families to it.

How quickly will my caseload fill?

About 300 children are waiting for a therapist across our service areas, so the caseload you ask for fills right away. You will not spend months building it.

What does it pay?

We do not post pay on the website. Compensation is discussed openly in your first conversation with our team, before you commit to anything.
